Contract Summary — Archie Montgomerie Client objectives and pathway Archie Montgomerie is a Year 12 student-athlete from Tauranga, New Zealand, currently attending Tauranga Boys’ College and developing as a cross-country and track runner. Archie is seeking support to use athletics as a pathway to continue his education in the United States, maintain an active sporting lifestyle, and gain broader academic and personal experience. His primary objective is not to pursue professional running, but to use sport to access a suitable university environment while continuing to develop competitively. Archie is interested in academic programs related to social sciences, environmental sustainability, and other areas aligned with his personal interests. The preferred college environment should provide a strong balance of academics, athletics, personal wellbeing, and lifestyle. Location, climate, access to quality golf facilities, travel practicality, and overall fit for Archie and his family are important considerations. Platform Sports support Platform Sports will provide a personalised recruitment and placement strategy based on Archie’s athletic profile, academic eligibility, study interests, location preferences, financial considerations, and long-term goals. The support is intended to guide Archie and his family through the college journey and assist them in making informed decisions about suitable opportunities. The proposed support includes: Academic transcript and eligibility review, including assessment of subject choices and requirements for relevant U.S. college athletic pathways. Athletic assessment covering running performances, competition results, development, and supporting recruitment information. Identification of profile gaps and a structured plan to strengthen Archie’s academic and athletic positioning before coach outreach. Development and refinement of professional recruitment materials, including Archie’s college profile and athletic résumé. Ongoing guidance from the Platform Sports support team, including regular advisory meetings and support with workload management, academic progress, training balance, and preparation. Direct outreach and introductions to suitable U.S. college coaches and programs. Preparation for coach communications, interviews, and recruitment discussions. Assistance interpreting scholarship and financial-aid opportunities, comparing college offers, and evaluating academic, athletic, location, and financial factors. Support with college applications, transcripts, athletic information, selection decisions, and related documentation. Guidance with visa, compliance, eligibility, onboarding, relocation, and preparation for life as an international student-athlete. Ongoing college support in accordance with the selected support bundle, including guidance if Archie requires an alternative college pathway or transfer support. Family considerations The recruitment strategy will take into account the family’s preference for a suitable and enjoyable living environment, realistic travel considerations, financially sustainable college options, and a university setting that supports Archie’s academic, athletic, and personal development. The process will also consider Archie’s ability to adapt to life in the United States and the importance of maintaining access to appropriate academic and wellbeing support. Commercial terms discussed The parties discussed the following one-time service options, inclusive of GST: Placement support bundle: NZD 7,500, covering preparation, recruitment, coach outreach, placement guidance, and related support through the college selection process. Placement Plus Transfer support bundle: NZD 8,500, including the placement services above together with ongoing support through the college journey and transfer assistance where required. The final selected support bundle, payment terms, and any specific inclusions or exclusions should be recorded in the commercial terms of the signed agreement. College tuition, housing, food, travel, equipment, and other university-related costs are separate from Platform Sports’ service fee and will vary according to the institution, scholarship or financial-aid package, and final placement.
